Cutter had her puppy count x-ray yesterday and it’s looking like 7 for certain with perhaps a couple more hiding out under ribs and over spine. We count skulls and the spines connected to them on the x-ray. It helps us be prepared a bit better for her delivery….but when all is said and done…the final count is not available until their BIRTH day 😉
On puppy watch here, taking mom’s temperature several times per day. Mom’s temperature will drop to a certain point and stay there around 12-30 hours before delivery. Truthfully, it also gives the humans something to do and obsess over while watching her these days before delivery 😉
The whelping room is 99.9% ready, with just a few last minute things to do when she gets a bit closer. Stay tuned for updates and details after delivery!
