Pups got their first toenail trim yesterday! Now let’s see – 4 toes per foot – 4 feet per pup. Yep! That’s 176 toenail trims. It is important to trim their little toenails every week to keep things nice and comfy for Cadie while they are nursing. I know she appreciates NOT having sharp little toes scratching her skin as they knead the faucets while nursing.
Pups are gaining weight and motoring all over the 4 x 4 whelping box, they can really move when they end up separated from their littermates and want to get back to the huddle. Weights range from 12 to 18 ounces, with the bulk weighing in around 14.
