The last two weeks have been BUSY! Puppies have now transitioned to eating puppy food and are loving it. Putting them on the scale today, they are weighing in from 6lbs 2oz to 5 lbs 3oz. They first transitioned from lapping up kefir and turkey baby food to puppy food gruel. For the past couple of days they are munching on soaked puppy food and doing great. All are good eaters and it shows in their weight gain chart pictured below 😉
Their pen has an expanded potty area and they hit it about 80% over the course of a day. They are really getting active and run and play and tug on each other…then pass out in blissful puppy exhaustion! Earlier this week they had their first big outing from their Puppy Town pen area. Hemi had to get groomed for the show and so they all spent a few hours in the training/grooming building. They had a blast! Ran and ran and ran. Investigated everything, including the noisy blow dryer and shop vac. Then…once again blissful puppy exhaustion!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice mild and dry day. The goal is to let them have a little fresh air and cloud cover…(that’s what we get this time of year 🙁 . Setting up the play area under the covered deck so they can get out a bit more regardless of the weather!
